| Liam And Me Open For Three Philadelphia foursome Liam And Me will be hitting the road for their first-ever national tour this spring. Starting April 28 in Detroit, the band will be warming up the crowd for fellow dance rockers Under The Influence Of Giants, Young Love and PlayRadioPlay, in support of their self-released debut, There's A Difference. In addition to the tour, the band, who've recently signed to Thrive, is in the studio working on their follow-up. Maps set for debut US tour Maps aka James Chapman has announced a short tour of the US, kicking off at Seattle's Crocodile Caf? on September 22. He will play three west coast dates before heading east for a further two shows in New York City and Brooklyn. Chapman will be joined on the jaunt by Philip Thurlby (synths, backing Vocals, percussion), Matthew Roberts (synths, guitar, backing vocals), Benjamin Gordelier (drums) and Andrew Lowther (bass guitar). The tour will support the release of 'We Can Create' which came out June 17 in the US and was recorded in Chapman's Northampton bedroom. The album was co-produced by Valgeir Sigurdsson (Bonnie Prince Billy, Bjork) and mixed by Ken Thomas (Sigur Ros, Hope Of The States). |
Beyonc? sued by Des'ree over song Beyonc? is being sued by singer Des'ree following allegations that she did not get permission from Des'ree to cover a song called 'I'm Kissing You'. TMZ says the suit, which was filed yesterday in New York, claims that a deal to use the song did not come to fruition, but Beyonc? went ahead and re-recorded the song and made a video. Des'ree, who is most famous for her 1994 hit 'You Gotta Be' is seeking to put a stop to the distribution of the song, video and Beyonc? solo album 'B'Day- Deluxe Edition' on which the song appears and is called 'Still In Love (Kissing You)' |
