| Band Of Horses reveal album tracklisting Band Of Horses have revealed further details of their forthcoming album. The follow-up to 2006's 'Everything All The Time' is called 'Cease To Begin' and was recorded in Seattle, Washington and Asheville, North Carolina. It features 10 tracks and is due out in the US via Sub Pop on October 9. When describing the sound of the new album, frontman Ben Bridwell told NME.COM: "(Producer) Phil (Ek) likes to say that if the last record sounded like a northwest record, this one sounds like a southeast record. While it's not the fucking Oak Ridge Boys or anything, it does have some country leanings, but there are also a lot of rockers." |
Glastonbury Festival organiser rejects Banksy offer Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis has rejected an offer to sell an onsite mock-up of Stonehenge. The move comes after the site's press office was contacted by an anonymous caller asking to purchase the exhibition by cult artist Banksy. The Stonehenge mock-up made out of graffiti-strewn mobile toilets was a huge attraction for many fans at the festival site. And although there has been huge interest to purchase the mock-up, Eavis confirmed that he has no plans to sell the artwork on. He told NME.COM: "I'm not going to sell it but I'm going to take it down though. I don't sell other people's art. That's not what I do." Banksy's artwork has often attracted huge media interest and controversy in the past. Last year he was involved in sabotaging copies of Paris Hilton's debut album with the help of Gnarls Barkley member Danger Mouse. He recently received an award for Art's Greatest Living Briton. |
Voxtrot Get Doc'd In preparation for their first full-length release, Voxtrot will be the subject of an eight-part min-documentary series about the recording process. Reaching For The Lasers is directed by Elizabeth Skadden of the Austin punk band Finally Punk. A new episode of the series will be released every Wednesday, starting this week, on MTV's Subterranean blog and iFilm. Voxtrot's debut full-length will be out May 22 on Playlouderrecordings/Beggars Group. |
