| Battles confirm North American outing Battles have announced a lengthy tour of North America, kicking off next month in Charlottesville, VA. The New York band will tour to promote the release of their debut album 'Mirrored', coming out May 22. Currently on tour in Europe, they will hit London next week (May 16) for a show at La Scala. Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly joins San Miguel Hidden Depths Following the huge success of San Miguel Hidden Depths' DJ Yoda and Warp Films-curated events (with Arctic Monkeys, Richard Hawley, Jarvis Cocker and the Mighty Boosh cast amongst the attendees), next Wednesday will see Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly taking the helm. Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly is the musical moniker of 21-year-old musician, producer and songwriter Sam Duckworth, whose unique approach to music splices classic activist folk-rock with modern technology to create an irrepressible body of work. Get Cape's event will take place at Industry in Shoreditch, and will see Duckworth demonstrating the talents that have lead to him achieving sell out shows up and down the country. This night will see him taking a break from recording sessions for his Nitin Sawhney-produced new album (the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut, 'The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager?) to preview exclusive new tracks. He will be joined for a special live performance by one of the UK?s most exciting and forward thinking young electronic musicians, Nathan Fake, as well as friends from his newly launched Mannequin Republic record label, including the Huw Stephens-approved Boom in the Diamond Industry. |
Sugababes 2008 tour dates SUGABABES follow up their current No1 hit 'About You Now' with new single 'CHANGE' on 17th December. The title track from their No1 album, 'Change' is a compelling ballad which was co-written by SUGABABES and Danish producers Deekay and recorded in London. The band have also announced a 20 date UK tour which kicks off at Brentwood Leisure Centre on Thursday 13th March 2008. The tour sees them headlining at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the first time. Tickets go on sale on 9.30am Friday 19th October and Ticket ?26.00 (London ?25 / ?30 / ?35).
