| Bonde Do Role plot North American tour Bonde Do Role have announced the dates of an extensive North American tour in later summer and early fall. The Brazilians, who had to cancel US dates supporting CSS earlier this month due to DJ Rodrigo Gorky's emergency dental surgery, will now headline several dates beginning on September 11 in Washington DC. They'll hit major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Seattle before wrapping things up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on October 13. The band are supporting their recent debut album, 'With Lasers' |
Hot Chip to play the Electric Ballroom Hot Chip return with a new album 'Made In The Dark? in early 2008 through EMI Records. 'Made In The Dark? is the amazing & ambidextrous follow up to the massively acclaimed, Mercury Music Prize nominated album 'The Warning? recorded and self-produced during the last six months from their home London studio base. The album contains the mentalist Todd Rundgren sampling anthem 'Shake A Fist? which has already caused a massive stir since it crept out on limited edition etched 12' earlier. Hot Chip will be performing some songs from 'Made in The Dark? at a one off performance on 22nd November - The Electric Ballroom, London. Tickets available below. |
Two rappers arrested on similar charges Lil Wayne and Ja Rule were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon last night (July 22). The two separate incidents occurred in New York following Lil Wayne's concert at the Beacon Theatre. Outkast collaborator Lil Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter, was spotted smoking marijuana near a tour bus by police officers. A .40-caliber pistol was found on him after he was taken into custody, reports the Associated Press. Meanwhile, Ja Rule, whose real name is Jeff Atkins, was arrested after he was pulled over by police officers for speeding. The officers found a .40-caliber gun on the Jay-Z collaborator and he was taken into custody. Ja Rule and Little Wayne recently recorded a song together called 'Uh Oh'. |
